CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

Dear All,

Welcome to the Telugu Velugu Germany (TVG) online! As the Chairman of the TVG, I’d like to take a moment to introduce you to who we are and what we do.

Telugu Velugu Germany (or TVG, as it is well known) is the oldest and first established Telugu community organization in the year 2006, we have successfully pursued TVG’s mission to integrate and strengthen our bonds forging new friendships across all communities, cultures and borders. The association is dedicated to create a home far from our motherland and in the process, retain our cultural roots and traditions. We have shown our commitment by organizing events on several occasions of Vinayaka Chavithi, Deepavali, Sankranthi (Festival of Harvest, in India), Vanabhojanalu (Picnic), Bathukamma (Floral Festival of Telangana)and Ugadi (Telugu New Year).

Our association not only took part in celebrating the festivals but also actively extended our helping hand to our brothers and sisters in India. In 2015, coastal Andhra was worst hit by deadly cyclone HUDHUD. TVG, together with Ruchi restaurant organized fund raising event and collected decent amount. TVG is always considered to be the emergency contact for many Indians living in Germany, especially for Indian students. We feel proud and privileged that TVG is getting opportunities to serve the Indian community in Germany.

Year over year, we have steadily been able to reach out to more and more Indians living in Germany through the collaborative effort from both committee and active members in our association. We would like to therefore use this opportunity to thank our current and past executive committees, volunteers and members for their persistent contribution without whom today’s event would not have been possible.

Our special thanks to all our sponsors for their continuous support throughout all these years.

Chairman

Sai Reddy Dasari
